iBio has acquired IP rights and Orphan Drug Status from Kentucky Bioprocessing (KBP) for the Fabray disease therapeutic, Alpha Galactosidase. KBP acquired their alpha-gal program during their acquisition of parts of the former Large Scale Biology.

With a review of their lead product, taliglucerase alfa, by the FDA coming early this spring for final approval. Protalix is looking to cash in on their momentum to the tune of up to $150 million on the American Stock Exchange. The company currently has a market value of about $800 million and produces their lead product using carrot cell culture.
